I wanted to let everyone know about a great deal if you are looking to stay off-site or maybe go to the Florida coast (or on another vacation).

Here are the elegibility requirements from their website
(Note: You only have to know someone who is elegible and they can purchace a "Gift Certificate" for you):
You are eligible to participate in the SAV program if you are 21 or older and a:
-Member of the Uniformed Services (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, NOAA, USPHS; active duty, and both active and inactive Reserve, Auxiliarist, and National Guard) or an adult dependent
-Foreign exchange service member on permanent duty with the DoD
-Retired Member of the Uniformed Services (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, NOAA, USPHS, Reserve, Auxiliarist and National Guard) or an adult dependent
-Civilian employees of the DoD or a Uniformed Service(appropriated, non-appropriated, or retired) or an adult dependent
-American Red Cross personnel serving overseas with the U.S. military
-DoD Dependent School teacher
-Disabled American Veteran rated @ 100% with a valid ID Card
-Contractor working on a military installation and in possession of an ID card issued by the installation.
There are no membership applications to fill out, fees or dues to pay or timeshare presentations to attend.
Your best bet to find a place is in the off-season - but what a deal! Here is a quote from someone on their website who stayed at the Hilton Grand:
"My family and I stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club in Orlando, Florida from April 19-26, 2002 and had a great time. What a terrific place and located right near everything. Our double room was superb. We especially loved the huge jacuzzi tub. The staff was very helpful. Would like to point out if you need attraction tickets to the local spots (Disney, Sea World, Medieval Times, etc.) there is a Navy Exchange on Treadwater Drive (near the airport) that sells these tickets. Take advantage of these terrific offers. Again thanks for offering these beautiful RCI resorts at such a terrific price so one can really have a great vacation. Deborah A.
