GREAT deal for Disneyland Resort Express through GAT

I'm noticing that Getaway Today has Disneyland Resort Express transfers to and from LAX or SNA for the lowest rate I've seen anywhere. LAX is $11.25 each way and SNA is $8.50 each way. This works out to almost 50% off their usual rate.

If anyone has booked this through GAT, I'd love some feedback. MY DH has to fly into SNA and join us a couple of days into our trip, so I've been looking for the best transfer option for him.

Thanks!

I purchased ART tickets from GAT in June- they were "al a carte" with no other purchase. There was no handling/shipping fee.
No problems.

That's a great price! Can they be booked without a GAT package?

Yes, I just now went ahead and booked it. No extra fees. There is a $10 "trip insurance" type fee, but you have the opportunity to remove it before checkout.

One thing I did realize right away in booking a reservation for DH.....make sure the name put in for billing is the name of the person being picked up. There is no opportunity to separately put in the traveler's name if you are purchasing for someone else, so the name on the credit card being used is the name that prints on the confirmation as "pick-up name". Not sure how strict they will be about the name matching at the time of the airport transfer, or if they will even check for that matter.

I know they didn't look at my vouchers for the trip back to SNA. I just handed them over. I don't think they checked too closely when we came in, but I can't swear to it. They didn't ask for ID or anything

I can't insert a link from my phone, but the site is getawaytoday.com. Go to the tab that says "tickets" and choose Disneyland.

Just now looking at these for my sister's BF who will be joining us. Can anybody report back if they had any trouble using the Disney Resort Express ones from GAT? Do you setup your dates with GAT, or do it later with Grayline? The prices just seems so good, I want to make sure there isn't going to be a problem with them. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up! The cheapest I found was $10 one way...we're 2 people so that extra $3 is a Tigger Tail or something!

Did you find $10 each way from LAX or SNA? If you found $10 each way from LAX somewhere, please share! $11.50 is the best I've found from LAX thus far. :)

Does this work if I'm going to the Tropicana--on Harbor, across from the DLR entrance?

I used them on my last trip in 2009. Didn't have to set anything up, just showed up at the bus stop outside LAX and hopped on the bus. When the bus got to the Disneyland hotel I handed over our voucher and told them what hotel I was staying at and then they began dropping people off at their hotels.

Same thing with the return, picked us up in front of the PPH, took us to the Disneyland hotel, took our voucher and put us onto the bus going back to LAX.

I went to the getawaytoday website and saw the Karmel shared van shuttle too. Slightly more, but I wondered if it was faster since you probably don't have to make as many stops. Does anyone have any experience with the shared vans compared to the DLR busses?

We used the DE via GAT when we went for the half marathon in Sept...it was so slick-- just get on the bus and go...loved it. :goodvibes

Yup! Just got back from 5 days there. Using the DLRE was super easy and well worth the cost. We were picked up at SNA and dropped off right in front of our hotel (BWPPI). Pickup was a breeze too. We were picked up at the OCTA stop right there in front of our hotel and had to transfer to another bus at the DLH. From there it was nonstop and dropped off right in front of the American Airlines ticketing counter.
We only had the save $3 coupon from Mouse Savers, so you guys have identified a really great deal!
How is that they say? Easy peasey, warm and cheesy? Or was that soft and squeezy?

Great deal. I'm glad I did a search and someone pointed this out a few weeks ago. We got our round trip for $48 total instead of the $76 it would have been with our $3 off each way.

For anyone wondering, GAT will either rush you the documents (for a $10 fee) or send the information over to DLRE so they have it when you arrive. Just bring your receipt and an ID.
