Great Clips?

Uh, you may be biased.

I'm only biased because my dh used to go there and they never did a good job.

Of course, it could just be our local Great Clips.

I'm not biased because I work in a salon- I've only been there for 4 days. Just pointing out that in those four days, I have booked appts. for a couple of people to have their hair fixed.

Ours great clips does extremely good while I went to one forty-five minutes away and the woman was totally incompatent. I think it is more of who works there then it is the company.

I see in your photo that your hair is long. How are you wanting it cut?

As a hairdresser, I think many hairdressers get "lost" in long hair. So, I think it depends on what you are wanting done.
And short hair is so easily screwed up, it isn't funny. If it a cut that needs cleaning up, so often they skip that part. Drives me nuts! Clean up your cuts!! I could walk around with my scissors "cleaning up the world"! LOL

I have to agree with Buckalew11. I finally got my hair to the desired length, so I could donate it to Locks of Love and wanted to get it cut. The normal salon I go to was booked, so I went to Great Clips. The hairdresser did a horrible job. I just wanted it cut straight in the back, which I thought wasn't too difficult. Maybe because my hair is thick she had problems, but it was crooked and quite noticeable. I couldn't tell when she showed me in the mirrors (she must have been holding one at an angle). But as soon, as I got home, I couldn't believe it.

Luckily I was able to get it fixed the next day. I vow not to get my hair cut in the spur of the moment again.

I agree, because I had gotten a decent haircut a couple years ago.

I'd say avoid. My experience was thus. I went in for a trim. I asked for 2 inches off to get rid of the dead ends. I was able to sit on the very tips of my hair (it was just down to my butt) And it was tapered. When I left, It was cut straigth across the back at the top of my bra strap. A good 12 inches. And no, they didn't donate it to Locks of love. *AARRRGHH* I was not a happy woman.

I've taken my son there twice...

Once, they cut his ear, and it bled A LOT. We got a free haircut.

Second time, they messed it up so bad, we got a free haircut. (they cut the back up too high...about up to his ears. She could not get it even, so kept cutting more and more).

Haven't gone back, but maybe I should. We've gotten a lot of free haircuts there...maybe we'll get lucky and get another one.
