Hello everyone,

We are going in August and taking our son. He will be 20 months at the time, and although I know that he won't really understand what's going on, I'd like to take him to a character meal-breakfast/lunch/dinner-we don't care. (I can't get enough of Disney and the last time we were there was 3 years ago, which is way too long for me. So, I've been getting a lot of grief out of the fact that we are bringing our young son, but oh well!) We will have the DDP while we are down there. What is a good one to bring him too? Any suggestions? Any favorites? Thanks so much!

We were there in September with a 4-yr-old and a 19-month-old, and booked lots of character dining.
The baby's favorite based on response to the characters was Crystal Palace at MK, with a close second to Ohana breakfast at Poly - there he definitely loved Stitch but didn't seem interested in Mickey. Poor Mickey.
He also liked the pretty girls at Akershus, but that one can take a longer time to see everyone so he started getting bored and restless before we got finished.

If I were to suggest the 'best' based on characters for the little one and food for the grown-ups, I'd suggest Crystal Palace with Pooh et al.

CP is far and away the best character meal from a food perspective. You can't go wrong with any meal there. And the characters are great for any age as well!

I second CP, for dinner (or lunch, the menu is pretty much the same). The menu is really good. And the characters are Pooh and friends. It is a lot of fun.

I just wanted to agree w/ PPs -- Crystal Palace, with Pooh & Friends is definitely a good one to take a little one too. :)

Well, since Pooh Bear and Piglet got DD over her fear of characters, and the food is good, count me as another vote for Crystal Palace. :thumbsup2

Crystal Palace is our favorite as adults, and was always our kids favorite. We like breakfast--early morning--8:00 a.m.--before the park opens and you have Main Street almost to yourself.

For someone as small as your sun i would suggest Chef Mickeys or CP both very good and both buffett (i would suggest breakfast)

Chef Mickey's has always been one of our faves. It really does depend on his favorite characters and how he is with crowds. DDs first was LTT at 3 but it doesnt have characters anymore. It was good that is wasn't an extremely hectic and crowded one for her first time. O'hanas would be really good for breakfast. It's usually not as busy and kaotic.
