Great Car Rental Rates from Alamo at LAX

I have a compact rented from June 1 @ 1200 to June 4 @ 1900 for $43.59. This is a lot cheaper than a shuttle, plus we gain more transportation freedom, thinking that some others on their way to DL might want to get in on this, so I am passing it on. I used coupon AD3868JST, and the annual pass corporate code of 15000.

What the heck... We booked our flight today (for July 8-15) and chose to fly in to Long Beach instead of LAX because the rentals out of LAX were so insanely high! Am I missing something?

It was $43 in total for 4 days, but it is now $32!!! I used a coupon for $25 off and the WDW AP corporate code. I keep hoping it will continue to go down, but I think that is wishful thinking.

Yup...rental car rates are total supply and demand and can be stupid low at times. I have rented a car from LAX and back for my whole trip cheaper then Uber would have cost. Keep an eye on rates up until your travel dates.

If you go to alamo.com you will see where you put in your information regarding the rental, just below that it says "add discount code" in yellow printing, click over the yellow writing and spaces drop down where you can add a coupon, corporate, and product code.

Yeah I have been doing some research and it looks like we can get a full size thru Priceline for about $125 (including taxes) from LAX from 9/13-9/17. I have always been able to get great rates at LAX from when I traveled for business.

As long as you're not afraid to drive in LA traffic, renting a car is a no brainer IF your hotel doesn't charge parking.

Doing a Priceline bid is absolutely the way to go. Especially at LAX. More often than not the winning bid is thru Hertz and they have some tremendous upgrade deals. A couple years ago, my wife and I won a bid of around $20 a day for a full size at LAX. For $10 more a day, we were able to upgrade to a brand new convertible mustang at the counter. We were still paying less than what most rental car company's were charging for midsize rentals.

Similar thing happened at SFO the following year and we were given a Cadillac Escalade since our full size reservation was not in stock. Priceline bidding is the way to go folks!
