Just saw the news 2/12/06 they are calling for snow flurries in Orlando tonight. :thumbsup2

Given the previous history of the OP and the lack of accuracy in the other posts I would be willing to bet the weather is just fine :stir:

Here is the National weather forecast.Tonight... Partly cloudy. Colder. Lows around 30. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Wind chill readings 22 to 25. The weather man added we could see snow flurries from Orlando North. I don't make the weather just telling want I heard.

At 5 am it was 44 degrees and partly cloudy in Orlando - I get the Orlando weather on my computer every day. No mention of snow in my forecast. Partly cloudy tonight with a low about 30.

My father lives in St. Petersburgh - there are freeze warnings out in parts of the state for tonight.

bigdisneydaddy calling you out.The weather man said there could be snow flurries in Orlando. Just going off your statment "will to bet the weather is just fine the OP is just stirring the pot" I will give 50$to any charity you say if i'm lying just give me Email Adderss. :wave2:

Ding, Ding, Ding, everybody to their respective corners.

OK, come out and shake hands and be friends. :thumbsup2

It's cold out there! Really, only in the mid-40's but very windy. I didn't hear about the snow flurries on the radio but I wouldn't be surprised. I even had to turn the heat on in the house!!

It's definitely cold down here now! I'm way down in Southwest Florida and we have frost and windchill advisories tonight!!

I hope that everyone tent camping tonight has heaters and/or lots of blankets!! :cold:

LOL, here is my humble opinion, I would rather freeze at Disney than to even live comfortably here in PA. I am freezing anyway, but without being able to go play at WDW!!

Ok, being in a tent would be stretching it a little...

We are just 30 miles north of Miami, and it is freezing here! I just checked the forecast and the low is 37, will feel like 32!

Kind of hard for me to feel sorry for you guys in Florida. Here in Allentown, PA we got 8 inches of snow last night.

I don't know about Orlando but here in Atlanta. I was driving this afternoon in heavy snow flurries and the outside temp was 37-41 degrees. So it could happen in Orlando even if it is not freezing. But I totally agree, I wouldn't care if it snowed 8 inches as long as I was at the fort!.

Just bought a new trailer and it has the Polar Package so we'll be ready.... :cool1:

live4fw,

Can you give a quick summary of the Polar package (was thinking of insulating my pipes/using electrical heat tape to be able to keep the travel trailer plumbing usable during the mostly mild winters we get here in central NC.)

Back to the original topic. If the CMs put on parkas when its 57 (seen it), what do they wear when it's snowing????

MovTarget,

The Polar Package on my trailer encloses the tanks underneath the trailer and has a heater system attached. I believe it also vents warm air from the furnace into this enclosed space so nothing freezes up.

I have seen add on kits in the my dealers parts catalog and Camping World may have them as well. Most of these consist of either insulating blankets or heater elements (electric) that can be attached to the tanks. There are also wrap kits for the exposed pipes.

We tend to camp in Jan/Feb/Mar in N Ga mountains so it will be an added bonus. It was not on my list of must haves but on my list of sure would be nice.

Tonight... Clear. Areas of frost after midnight. Lows in the upper 20s. Northwest winds around 5 mph in the evening becoming light.

Those of us in western Chester County, PA got 20+! You should see the icicles on my RV awning roller. (BTW, is this a dangerous thing? Should I have DH get rid of this somehow? Yes, we are otherwise winterized.)
