Great article on Mouseplanet

This is a wonderful article, wdwguide. Thanks for posting it. David Koenig has a history of analyzing the mouse (for anyone who doesn't know, he the author of Mousetales). The resignation letter from Roy is a real eye opener. I think the best part is at the end, where he postulates the cures for Disney's current woes:
• Remember that it takes money to make money. Quality endures. And, it’s cheaper to do things right the first time.

• Capitalize on under- utilized assets without prostituting them, thereby jeopardizing their long- term value.

• Refocus on animation as the spark that feeds other divisions. Never cut corners with story, songs or characters.

• Use the company’s proud heritage as a springboard not a shackle.

• Never forget that the goal is entertaining the audience, not tricking it or pacifying it.

Isn't that what many of us have been saying for months now (or longer in some cases)?

Finally, someone that has the courage to talk about what to do with the current state of the company. You almost never get that from Al Lutz. Whenever I read his inane ranting, I always wonder "Is he doing anything to help, or is he just crying over spilled milk all the live long day". I apreciate Koeing's work as I own just about all of his books. (Though "Mouse Tales 2" could have been better.)
