I highly recommend this excursion. We had a blast. Our tour chocolatier Ki Ki (Kevannia) was an absolute charmer. She had our group of 21 in stitches and she knows her chocolate. It was so much fun playing with chocolate and designing our own bars/truffles. And....You get to take it all with you! There is also a cute candy, gift store to browse/shop in. One of my all time favorite excursions.

Great news! I'm booked on the tour on my 10/20 cruise and am looking forward to it.

We're signed up for Nov 4th and it's our only excursion in Nassau this time. Does the DCL tour allow you any time to wander around and check out the Graycliff Hotel?

Doing this tour with my mom on the 10/20 4-night. It will be my first time to actually get off the ship in Nassau!

Sent from me.

I believe there was a restaurant attached with some nice patio dining but we did not partake. Our tour was scheduled 10:45 with return at 3:45. The actual factory candy making was 1.5 hours so there is plenty of time to do other things. A couple of people stayed behind to eat. Not sure how they returned to the ship. The trip from Port to Grayclifff was no more than ten minutes by bus. If you have any type of nut allergies please let someone know.....lots of nuts to play with when making your candy. Enjoy!!

We had the same tourguide; she's so adorable and sweet. :)

The whole thing was enjoyable; lots of education and some history, etc.

But...those boxes are heavy to pack when you have 3 of them, which meant 2 of them had to stay behind. And...weirdly...I'm not sure I actually LIKE the chocolate. :confused3:faint::duck:

I wouldn't say there are a *lot* of steps, but there are some.

How big are we talking? We will have two of them and I want to bring them home!

They are cigar boxes...seems like mine is a bit bigger than what I consider a cigar box size....sorry, don't have anything to measure with!

Just measured. 10x7.5 and nearly 2" tall. Just over 12 oz empty. Funky green with embossed lettering.

Almost certainly originally intended as a cigar box, but as jedijill said, bigger than what I think of as that size!

When I think about it now, I regret leaving the two behind. But if I had all three boxes here I would regret that, too. DS loved his and really wanted to keep it, but he has yet to use it. It's still sitting in the kitchen, empty.

oh and now that I had the chocolates DH bought, I say buy their chocolates! Dark Chocolate especially. Tasty tasty! Far better to my tastebuds than the milk chocolate we made stuff with. At the end of our tour we did surveys and one question was if we had interest in dark chocolate, and my answer was YES. Would have far preferred to use that.

Grey paper boxes for what we bought, green wood boxes for what we made. Crazy differences! I'll take a picture later.

The stairs inside the building have a railing. But it's all inside a very old structure like a fort, and there are old stone steps leading to the place. Not many but some and I do not recall if there were railings.

Thanks. Since the Disney mentions collapsible wheelchairs...I imagine they have had some experience with people who have some difficulty. I will ask on board before I book!
