OK - so GMR is long gone. Disappointing for our July trip, but oh well.

I know a Mickey/Minnie rdie through is schedule to replace it and I don't see a tentative opening so obviously it's a long way off.

What - if anything - is the building used for now? It appears a nighttime projection show. Anything else? Are the handprints still there? Can we walk around that area still? How about some of the memorabilia that was housed inside (like a pair of Ruby Slippers?

Everything outside is the same. You can not go inside.

Not sure I understand your question. The Mickey ride is currently being built inside where the GMR was. They do not seem to have any plans to change the outside, but, the inside has been gutted and construction has begun. The plan is to have it open around the same time, if not a little sooner then SWL. No absolute date yet.

Mid to late 2018 for the Mickey ride.

We're in mid 2018,so you're saying it should open between now and the end of the year.I was expecting like next year but if its earlier that would be great!
