Hello. I'm trying to prepare for our upcoming trip. How...., or what percentage do you leave for gratuity for these meals?

I'm not trying to be cheap, just prepared. Thanks for any advice!

If service is really good, I would consider 18-20% of the bill. Typically 15% of the bill is what is tipped.

I guess my thought was - it's an inflated price for the Fantasmic pass and cushion. Do you tip on $62 per person or do you tip for the normal price of what the food+drink+dessert would be? I'm a vegetarian so my meal would normally be $30, plus drink and dessert. Thanks! :smickey:

We always tip on the full amount. The way Disney sees it, you are paying mainly for the food. There are no refunds of any kind if Fantasmic is cancelled. We know because it was cancelled the first time we did the BB Fantasmic dinner. So we see it mainly as a fixed price meal that has a perk.

My husband is vegetarian and I don't know where you invented a $30 price but he gets the $62 vegetarian F! or WOC meal. Why would you tip less because you don't have meat?? Your meal is still planned, executed and plated. Why would you believe minus meat is less money? Many vegetables cost as much as any meats. You are paying extra for the premium seating area.

I believe that mich311e got the $30 price tag from the fact that the vegetarian dish is $30 (according to the current, as of this posting menu on Disney's website). It has nothing to do with the lack of meat, but the fact that the vegetarian entree is cheaper than the meat based entrees. The fact the drink and dessert would be an additional on top of the entree (meal as mich311e worded it) was mentioned as well.

Mich311e, yeah, the dining package is definitely a premium cost if you're getting the cheaper food options. It works out to a pretty decent-ish deal if you go whole hog and get the most expensive offering. I agree, though, with what you've already decided: tip based on the package (but before tax is added) and not what your meal would have cost bought outside the package.

Yes, this. Thanks.

Thanks for asking this question! I had the same question. Does the $61 include tax? Does it include drinks?

Glad I wasn't the only one wondering. :earsboy: I haven't done it yet but I believe it includes regular drinks. I believe it's $62 before tax & gratuity.

I'm sort of astounded someone would think you would tip based on what you think the prices should be. Tip 15-20 perfect just like any other place to ever dine at. The wait staff shouldn't suffer because you feel the price is too high. You are getting the benefit of better seats at a show besides

We had the most amazing waitress for our BB F! package back in March. Her name was Wendy Shoemaker and she treated us like royalty, such a sweet lady! We left her a generous tip based on the full amount of the package and it was soooo worth it!
Yes, beverages are included, even coffee and tea with your dessert. Enjoy!

Agree with Angrose. Definitely budget to tip higher if the service is magical. The CMs work so hard to make the guests happy.

No need to be astounded, it was a question. Thank you all for your input!

My total for the meal, tax and tip included, with an AP discount was $75. I think we each tipped around $18?
