We are on the DLx Dining plan. Now we order food and drinks.
The food is already covered by the plan.
When we receive the bill for the drinks is the gratuity for the drinks on the bill I assume but do they also put the tip from the dinner on the same bill?
So the does the bill cover the whole gratuity ore must I give the tip from the dinner to the waiter and is only the drink tip on the bill? Who knows this?

Hi... when are you going???? I thought we had discussed that the dining plan no longer will have an added gratuity in 2008..

Now you have me confused and I moderate here.. LOLOLOL I thought that tipping on a bar bill was voluntary and not added. So if I understand everything correctly, you would tip on the bar bill separately from the dinner bill.

Is that what you mean??

We’ll be there in 2008.
I will try to explain it a little better.
On the dining plan they can’t add the gratuity on you room key I understood.
So for the dinner I will have to give the tip OOP and the bar bill will be on our room key so will have the gratuity on it.

ORE is the whole tip for dinner and bar bill automatically on your room key?

I don't have personal experience just yet, but I was going to link my CC information on the room key and just leave the tip on the room key. I don't want to have to bring cash with me everywhere. I don't see why they wouldn't let you do that.

Is this true.....you can't add the tip to your room key.

I am hoping that someone may have more experience with this and will post (you may want to call Disney Dining to get some answers, not that they are always correct), but I would think if you link your credit card to your room key why would there be a problem with giving a tip that way.......it is going on your credit card.

If I am self paying at a restaurant, and I pull out my American Express to pay the bill, I am paying the whole bill including the tip with that so why would it be different for you. I would think that if you have your cc on your room key that you would be able to charge your gratuity......I do understand that you have the dining plan and your meals are covered, but what if you do not want to carry cash for tipping, you should be able to charge it on a cc or on your room key that goes to your cc..

I take very little cash to the Parks. I have never tipped cash...always added it to my room key.(for meals) I don't think this is something that will change. You will be given almost every opportunity possible to leave a gratuity. (except maybe by check) I know in Europe it's more customary to leave cash on the table for something extra...but here... I think most will use the same method to leave a tip as they do to pay the bill.
