Gratuities?

Still trying to decide between the DDP or Deluxe or none at all ... Wondering if anyone can explain gratuities? We'll have a party of 8-10 at each meal and I am thinking we'll be spending over $1000 extra in gratuities if we do the Deluxe plan and do mostly TS meals - yikes!

Do they add gratuities even to buffets? I could see if it's family style and a server brings your food and drinks but for a regular buffet do they still force the 18%?

Our party will be made up of 3 separate bookings/rooms/DDPs - me, DH and our 6 kids (4 on DDP) plus MIL plus FIL. Can we determine which room they charge the gratuity to? We'll probably take turns paying for it.

Anything else we should know? Taxes are included in the DDP right? Thanks!

Yes, even at buffets you are charged the minimum gratuity for large groups.
