OK. I'm new to the PC world, being used to a macintosh. I'm looking at having to buy new software and learning it. I want to find a graphic software program that I can use to edit photos, scan photos, and free-hand draw graphics. It has to be relatively inexpensive, so those $500 packages are out. I'm used to using Photoshop. Can anyone recommend something that would work for a fair novice at a good price?

It costs about $100 & is also available for PC. Just to let you know the quality isn't going to be nearly as good on a PC, but it's still the best option :)

I love Paint Shop Pro. You can download an evaluation copy here http://www.jasc.com/products/psp/ and the full version is only $99. Its very similar to Photo Shop and has some neat extras, too.

Yeah i like it too. Look at BJ's or Sam's club. I think it was like 59$ at BJ's

Ashley,
I have a full version of Photoshop for PC. I'm no longer doing graphic design and layout, and if you are interested in the cd..send me a pm.

Thanks guys. I'm going to (hopefully) get my scanner hooked up this weekend. When I do I may see about downloading the preview of Paintshop before I buy the other to see what I like.

BoosMom, PM incoming. :)
