graphic lost

I had a graphic which used to appear whenever I posted, tonight when I left a post, there was a message saying the clipart was stolen from tripletsrus, which is the site where I originally got it. What gives? What does this mean? It was fine before. Can someone explain to me? Thanks.

Ummmmm....it means exactly what they've written on it....you used their picture without their permission and they found out....

Many sites don't allow direct linking to images stored on their web pages. The graphic itself may not be copyrighted by them but they still are paying for the bandwidth that is used every time the image is referenced from their page. This is why so many sites will shut off the ability to link to images on their pages. Most will just lock it out and all you will get is the famous red X. This site has decided to be a bit more dramatic about it.

If the image is not copyrighted, you could download the image and then upload it to another web site that you have control over and reference it from there.
