Grapefruit Beer-Epcot

I tried this two years ago and loved the grapefruit flavor. We are going in three weeks and I am looking forward to trying it again. Has anyone been to the festival this year and tried it?

Had it in April at F&G... then came home and bought a 24-pk case at Total Wine. I think a case was about $25-$30. Significantly priced better than the $10 bottle in Germany.

Had it last December, loved it! Called our local HyVee store and got a call back and manager said they could not get it from the distributor here. Leinenkugels brought out a grapefruit shandy this summer, it's the closest I can find to it at the moment.

Rajak73. I went to our local hy vee in southeast Iowa. They ordered it and it has become so popular they are now selling it at three stores. DH said it is my legacy bringing Schofferoffer to Iowa lol. They first got it in cans and are now selling it in bottles. Last week it went from the specialty shelf to sitting with the Budweiser!! I think it will stick around so keep trying. Which reminds me I need to make a stop after work tonight lol!!

It has become very popular around here since I started searching for it after our April 2014 trip. Many places even have it on tap! It's so good and goes down a little too easy.

I was in Berlin last year and was drinking this just becuase it was cheap and sweeter than real beer. Was 3 Euro ($3.45) a bottle in a bar!

Then there is still hope here in Nebraska!! LOL, I hope they stock it sometime, the other grapefruit beer just isn't quite the same.

They have it year round at Epcot! It became so popular with Disney goers that they started carrying it here in Buffalo too. Love it!

I looked at that once, it was like $30 to have it shipped for a 6 pack, Even more expensive than Disney, LOL. I didn't need it quite that bad.

Yes I looked at having it shipped and for the amount of beer I wanted to get it was going to cost $115 to ship That is when I took to the streets and went to our local grocery store!! Good luck and keep trying!

Schöfferhofer Grapefruit. I just found it at a store by my house.

I'm in PA (outside of Philly), and the Schofferhofer started showing up at our distributors about a year ago.

If you don't have it in your area look for Illusive Traveler grapefruit shandy. I love it. Agree with PP that the grapefruit beers go down a bit too easy sometimes...
