Has anyone been, what is it like? What else to do in the area?
My dad wants to drive over and check it out. We could make the drive in a day, but we will need a hotel also. So tell me about St. Louis, the good, the avoidable, etc. What else should we do there? We would probley make it a longer weekend type of a trip, spending 2 days in the area or 3?
Thanks!

First you get on a tram and ride thru the park area and see animals. The tram lets you off in an area with more animals to view, goats to feed. Beware of the goats if you have little ones. They jump and make lots of kids cry. Once you get thru that area, you can head over to the beer garden area. 21 and over gets 2 complimentary drinks. They also have food to buy. Our zoo is also nice and is free to get in. Grants Farm is free also. You just have to pay to park. What type of things do you like to do? Are you interested in the arch or seeing a Cardinals game? If you choose to stay downtown, I would check Trip Advisor for hotels. Downtown St. Louis has a lot of seedy areas. We have stayed at the Drury Inn right near the ballpark, and that is a nice, safe place. I would be glad to help with any more questions
