Friday was our only whole day and having seen the queues the day before I was worried that we wouldn’t manage to do too much. This is probably going to be Granny House’s only visit (although we bought her an annual pass so may persuade her to return;) )so we wanted her to see as much as possible but not tire ourselves out so we could stay for the Enchanted Fairytale ceremony(1900) and Fantillusion(2030).

We started our day in Salon Mickey around 1045 filling up with lots of calorie laden things  and hot drinks before heading into the park. We gave Santa a wave on the way past and headed of to our favourite ride –IASW of course. There was only a 5 minute queue – hurrah ! and after waiting we got in the front of one of the boats – Hurrah again !!

The Grannies had obviously taken a leaf out of Laura and Marco’s book and spent their time snapping photo’s as we cruised around (to be fair to Granny Car her camera had been a Christmas present so she was playing with her new toy). I chose to watch Jess as I love her reactions to this ride. She kept smiling and covering her mouth with her hand and giggling then pointing to things she’d remembered from previous trips. It was very sweet.:cutie:

After finishing our cruise we headed of for a look at Belle’s Christmas market. Jess picked out some decorations for the tree as presents for some friends (luckily for us they had been reduced- an advantage of shopping in January);) . We then noticed that the storybook cruise and Casey Junior were running ( they had been closed on our previous visit) and went off to ride both of them. Strangely the queue for Storybook cruise was only 5 minutes but Casey Junior was nearer 40.:confused3

Laura and Marco had recommended we try to catch both of the Christmas shows so we headed off on the train to the chapparal theatre to see Mickey’s Winter Wonderland which was just fab. :yay: Donald Duck was a scream and it even had a real horse drawn sleigh , just like in ‘Jingle Bells’.

Lunch followed at the Cowboy cookout as our tummies were beginning to rumble. I was really impressed with the menu particularly as you could get Potato wedges instead of chips and Chicken (my fave). We even had some music whilst we ate and Jessica and Granny Car ‘tried’ some line dancing to me and Granny House’s amusement.:rotfl:

We wanted to do something light after lunch so we rode the Molly Brown and then the Grannies headed off to Phantom Manor whilst Jess and I picked out a present for ‘Daddy’ (some Jelly Beans that Jessica secretly quite fancied for herself I think !;) ).

We then wandered off to attempt Buzz but the queue was too long(around 60-70 minutes I think) and all the fastpasses were gone so we backtracked to Fantasyland and viewed the castle instead. The work that has gone into the displays is amazing and I just love  the stained glass windows and little Brass statue. Then we rode Pinocchio.

The queues for all the rides were now really long but we had missed the last Winnie the Pooh show so to kill time and against my usual no long queue rule we waited in a 45minute queue for Peter Pan. Jess was fine but my Mum started getting a bit ‘itsy’ about the wait ,she walks everywhere like an express train but doesn’t do standing very well at all. We all loved the ride although My Mum kept comparing the 45minute wait to the 2 minute ride (which was beginning to grate on my nerves:rolleyes: )so we decided to take another break. None of us were hungry enough for a meal so we had cookies and Hot chocolate in Toad hall which gave our legs a rest and sweetened us up a bit.:santa: and retored some Christmas spirit

As it was now parade time(1730) we thought we’d check out the Buzz queue but it was still around 50 minutes so we didn’t bother. Jess and I decided to stake out a spot for the enchanted fairytale ceremony and we sent the Grannies off on one of their fave pursuits – shopping on Main St.

The Enchanted fairytale ceremony was really nice and when they lit up the castle I nearly cried. It was so beautiful.princess:

We had planned to stay for Fantillusion but Granny car was tired and despite some protests from an overwrought Jess we headed back to the Marriot , stopping at the station to buy some baguettes for supper on the way.

We then all took turns having a soak in the giant tub- sheer bliss !:cloud9: and then to bed where I pondered Why is it that when Kenny and I shared the same bed in the summer we had tonnes of room and this time I was hanging of the edge even though I was sharing with someone about a quarter of the size ???:rolleyes1

Tomorrow –Our last day and the terrible journey home

Another great day and report.
Looks like Laura and Marco figured a lot in your report :goodvibes
