This covers 2 days since this day we decided to have a slow day, give everyone a chance to catch up with laundry etc.....and give the girls a good play in the villa pool and also have a look in the resort.
Windsor Hills is nice and quiet and well kept - we didn't use the resort pool since we had our own, the girls spent a little time in the playground - and the guests who were using these areas all seemed to be enjoying it all. It was very convenient for WDW and the Sherberth road was brilliant - we found it easy enough on the way there but it took a couple of tries on the way home in the evening....what a timesaver, when we eventually sussed it out
Just head for Animal Kingdom and then take the turning for Animal Kingdom Lodge instead of going into the AK parking lot.........
Anyway after a morning around the villa we set off for Florida Mall - son had decided to buy a new suit whilst in Orlando - he needed one anyway - and they had a reservation for Victoria & Alberts later during the holiday....
We had a nice lunch in the food court and all managed to find what we were looking for - sunglasses, trainers, gifts and yes Son found a suit - very smart it looked too. We spent longer there than anticipated because we had to wait for some alterations to the suit - had planned to go to WS for fireworks but in the end decided to do it another night instead of having to rush.......................
There wasn't a real problem here but son did say that he wished we hadn't all had to wait, and we vaguely discussed whether having 2 smaller cars instead of the one van might have been a good idea so we could split up on the odd occasion - might be worth considering!!
THE FOLLOWING DAY
This was MGM and we had a good day - it was a bit cooler and so we managed to fit more in.
We found the Power Rangers which GD 6 loves, she has the PINK outfit at home - and the girls loved the 'street entertainers' we spent a lot of time just standing and watching things pass us by.....and the girls spent some time in the HISTK play area - we were really pleased that we got the 14 day passes - we didn't see any of the other parks apart from Disney - but we were able to take our time and not rush, knowing that we could go back to everywhere!!
We had dinner in H & V which was very good, food and service were both brilliant and we got the FASTPASS thingy into Fantasmic. This was brilliant.
My son persuaded me to go onto TOT, and I did enjoy it..........also went on the Rock and Roller coaster - never again, I kept my eyes closed from beginning to end....but at least I could come home and tell my other son that I DID IT!!!!
He couldn't pursuade me in 2003 just after it opened . He was out there as a cast member and we spent a couple of weeks with him, of course he was very familiar with everything at that time....
It was a coolish day today and rain threatened whilst we were waiting for Fantasmic - in fact several people left - but we stuck it out and were so glad that we did - brilliant!!!!!
