Grandpa Mohawk Chronicles back online (Spring Edition)

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to post a quick note to let you know I'm starting up our travel posting today. Grandpa Mohawk and I are headed south to Disney as soon as we finish packing the van. That's roughly 900 miles south from Maryland to Florida.

I'm trying out some new features of the blog that hopefully makes for a more fun experience for everyone. Bear with me as I work out kinks.

Where are you staying this trip? Home to SSR? "Hug" it for us, ok? Our March trip was to BCV; next month we will try AKV for the first time...me and the "almost daughter and almost grandkids" go to BWV over Labor Day, and this year we're doing T-giving at BCV...I NEED-NEED-NEED an SSR "fix"...maybe your TR will do it for me? Or maybe I'll have to find time for another jaunt on down to my favorite spot in all the world!

GM and I have a new rule this trip: only the driver can press the buttons to open the door. And of course NO WALKING BACKWARDS WHILE TALKING!

DMKEDM, yes we are staying at SSR this trip. Marriott's Cypress Harbour this week and SSR next week. Cousin 626.1 will be joining us next week as well.

I was up so late last night doing last minute things I'm a bit pooped at the mo'. But as soon as I settle in tomorrow I'll catch up with the full updates (including an itinerary). Until then, I have been snapping road pics and Twittering updates for the site when I can. It all shows up on the site. It'll be nicer to know we have an audience out there. (Some think I'm slightly nuts for this blogging thing.)

If you tweet me, I do get the messages. Now I must move over. Grandpa Mohawk wants his turn with the computer.

Oh and we did forget at least two things (as predicted).

Always love your trip reports BroganMc and looking forward to this one! How long are you at SSR? My wheelie sister will be arriving with her DH on the 7th so you might see her around if you're still there. We are arriving with my mother and my nephew on the 8th.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the black out. What with the confusion of getting settled in and then actually going out and having fun, it took me some time to get back up to speed.

I've posted trip reports for our two travel days down and yesterday's activities. Had to deal with a little technical difficulties (I've setup a wireless network in our villa and GM and I each have a laptop to use).

But while GM hit the pool this morning, I sat on the balcony typing away in the warm Florida breeze. Now it's off to EPCOT for the Flower & garden show and dinner at Rose & Crown Pub.

So check out the latest postings for the story of GM's magical rebirth at the barber...
