Grandmaw needs HELP

I have been a lurker for a few weeks now But I have decided to come out and be seen I have read all the forums and taken pages of notes.I am so excited to be going to WDW. I will be going with DD,SIL,DGD,DGS's from Sept 12 thru Sept 19th Their first time was the week after Easter and they LOVED IT!! I can't wait to see "the world" for myself. DH will not be able to go with us as he is recovering from a serious accident, but hopefully by next year he will be able to make the trip.Geeze.......I haven't even been yet and I'm already talking about going back But I do have a problem and I need help. My grandchildren's ages are 7,5(will turn 6 while we are there, we're doing the birthday cruise for him and the youngest who is 2. Here's the problem they believe all the characters are REAL...so last night I told them that we would be able to see Nemo and Marlin and all the characters from Finding Nemo... DGD with a look of horror on her face said "Oh no we can't Nannie, they can't come out of the water they would die!" So what I'm asking is if we see them walking around the park or down by the water(if they do this ) How will I explain it to them

Nemo and other characters from 'Finding Nemo' do come out of the water (from what I have heard...did not see them myself). I know they have been spotted at MGM Studios, perhaps other places as well.

What to say? You might try the old "Santa's Helper" routine and explain that they're really just helpers for the real Nemo, Dori and Marlin.

Who knows....it might work!!!

Tell them the Fairy Godmother made them able to come out of the water but they must be back in the ocean by midnight!

I'm so glad you de-lurked! You're already going to WDW with the right attitude....I'll be back!

I'd tell the grandkids that WDW is a magical place,like momof2 and lauri said ...all that pixie dust makes wonderful things happen there!

If ya get there and they say how big Nemo and Dory are,not like "real" fish well go with AreWeThereYet's idea....Nemo's helpers!!!
