It's weird for us because we had DD late in life. She's 12 and son 35 lol. Now a 2 year old grand daughter and another on the way!!

uh oh, who's your favorite grand kid??????? I have a favorite 8 year old, 6 year old....what ever.

Don't know if you live close to your son, but when our DD had her second. We had a "I'm a big sister party". Made a badge with ribbons and stuff that she wore to church , first time new born went. Made food and gifts for everyone...mostly parents and grand parents. And she got a couple of gifts. Not crazy amount. Just something so she wasn't feeling left out.

Just to add....the gifts were empty hot sauce bottles that we filled with bands of colored sand. Da ta, paper weights. I mean, she was 4 years old, she wasn't going to make hand tooled leather handbags and wallets for everyone. But we did make lasagna. She can throw handfuls of cheese with the best of them.
