Hello everyone!

This will be my grandfather's first time going to Disney World since his knees became very weak. My grandfather will not be able to walk to long on his own. We want to get a scooter from him. I have a couple questions about the following:

1.) If we get a scooter will he be able to park it outside of the ride/attraction while we all go on it, assuming the line is not long (using fast pass)?
2.) Since his knees are weak he will have a hard time standing in long lines, is there a way to avoid them so that he doesn't have to wait as long? If so, are we allowed to go with him so he is not on the ride/attraction alone?
3.) If so, what do we need to do to make sure he can bypass any long lines?

The other piece is that we are going as a family of 10, will we all be able to go with him? I know he would be upset if we couldn't all ride together, but I also understand and respect Disney's policies if he can only choose one of us to go with him.

Thank you for all your help! Any advice would be great! :)

1 yes you can park the ECV out side the line or if the line is long you can take it with you. And the few you can not there will be wheel chair

2 no but you can use FP and touring planes to help with long lines

3 see number 2

Have a good trip

a couple other notes

rent your scooter/ECV from an out side vender there are long lines and a lot of standing just to leave the parks and if you are staying on site a lot of walking at the resorts.

If you really want to skip all the lines ( or have unlimited FP) you can do this, but it will cost a few pretty pennies ( Disney offers privet VIP tours, )

if he decides not to rent a scooter/ECV he can rent a wheel chair, roller.

make sure you use FP to your advantage and get another one as soon as you use your first 3.

If the line is too long for him to stand/walk through, then he can take the ECV through. No need (or ability) to bypass the lines for a mobility issue. Though, of course, everyone can use FPs.

There are very few lines that he would not be able to bring an ecv into. The few that cannot (mainly in MK) he would get a return time for and then everyone go with him at that time.
