We are lucky enough to have 2 disney trips within 3 months. In late November we'll be at GF and I've posted on the Disney Resort Board for advice on that. In October we will be staying in a 3 BR at Marriott's Grande Vista for 3 nights using Marriott points. Anyone have info on this property. Anything I should avoid or request. We have stayed at Imperial Palms before but they are sold out for the nights we need. Will have children 4 and 1, my parents, my aunt and my grandmother - unfortunately DH can't come until the November trip.
Thanks

Thank you. This info helped me feel more comfortable trying something different. Usually we are onsite, MOWC, or Imperial Palms. Grande Vista doesn't seem too far from WDW and sounds really nice.

I stayed at Marriott's Cypress Harbour last Fall and I was impressed with how well the property has been maintained. We bought two weeks there in 1993 but had not actually stayed there before that. Grande Vista is very close to Cypress Harbour, but it is much newer.

They are both very convenient to Disney - only about a 10-minute ride. Ask for a Transportation Guide/Map at Guest Services in any of the parks. It has a really good map if you are going to be driving in every day. I have found it is usually quicker to take I-4 to exit 26B which is past the one for Downtown Disney (exit 27). You won't have to deal with as many traffic lights.

I'm sure you will enjoy it. In fact, my husband and I are staying there in November during the DIS Convention. That trip follows four days at the Food and Wine Festival in early November and a Disney cruise in October! I can't wait!!
