I want to book a Grand Villa at BWV when the 11 month window opens.

Has anyone stayed in one? How many are there?

I notice that the floor plan in my member's guide says some are two story. What are they like?

Is there any particular one I should request or stay away from, if I have a choice.

Thanks for any help with this.

There are 7 GV's at the BWV's. I stayed in one last November but it was a one floor GV. I believe there is only one that is 2 floors but I'm not positive. It seems that members who have stayed in them seem to like the single floor GV's better than the 2 floor GV. If you want one of the single floor GV's then you could request that. But chances are you will get that anyway. They are great rooms that you you will be thrilled with.

There are 7 Grand Villas at the BWV. All of them overlook the Boardwalk. Haven't personally stayed in one, so can't help with your other questions.

Best wishes -

We were going to do a Grand Villa, but chose 2 2-bedrooms for our upcoming trip. Gives us a little more room, and opened up BCV as a secondary choice along the boardwalk. We are OKW members, and so it was a 7-month window for us. We actually like BCV better, and it worked out. Of course, we'll miss the large living/dining area, but we were just a little oversized to be comfortable in the Grand Villa.

Plus, the Boardwalk GV's are extremely pricey!

We have stayed in a 2-story BWGV. It was wonderful. Our boys were young at the time and we requested the 1 floor but none were available. I thought there were less 1 story units and more 2 story. We called to reserve every day at the 11 month window.

There are 7 GVs, two 2 story and 5 single story units. We stayed in one of the 2 story units last December but have been able to visit a single story. For our preference we would have much preferred the single story. They are bigger. The two 2 story units are both next door to each other on the 5th floor. The upstairs balcony is what would be the 6th floor and can be seen behind the pillars, right under the Boardwalk sign when walking down the BW. Don't get me wrong we had a great time, but next time when we will not ask for a top floor GV. The differences - the 2 story units do not have a separate laundry room, they are the stackables like in the other units and are located upstairs. There is no balcony off of the master bedroom, nor in one of the bedrooms upstairs. There is no closet off the front door. The kitchen actually has less cabinet space than the 1 or 2 bdrs. It is smaller than the 1 story. Had we not already toured the single story we would have probably had a different view and hope next time we luck into a single story unit. We did visit at Xmas time and had lights on our balconeys and a small tree on the big dining room table so it was still incredibly festive.

During our trip home in March we wound up being upgraded from a 2 bedroom to a one of the 2 story grand villas and we absolutely loved it. It went well beyond our expectations however, having not seen the inside of a single story can not offer a comparison between the 2. I will say that we found it to be very roomy. Things to keep in mind regarding the 2 story grand villas are that you have no one above you since you are on the top floor and you also have the highest view.

We had a one story GV last month. I had requested the 1 story because I heard they were bigger. It is huge, simply amazing and this particular one had the biggest balcony I have ever seen with a spectacular view. The down fall to this beautiful view is that it is right above the boardwalk games and they are very noisy at night. They kept my kids (and myself) up on several nights. We also had a few housekeeping issues, but that could happen in any room, not just a GV.
