Grand Villa - any chance?

Thinking about GV in OKW next Oct or early Dec or Jan 2005. Any chance of getting one in the 7 months window? My home is BW. Should I be considering a 2-bedrm + studio instead?

I would think early Dec would be hard due to low points at that time, but you never know until you try. There are been posts recently about people getting one at the 7mo window and even a waitlist coming through. If you have a chance anywhere at the 7 mo window its at OKW! I would book at backup just in case. Maybe reserve something at your home resort at 11 mo and then switch over at 7. That way you won't be without anything.

We were able to reserve an OKW GV last January over the MLK weekend. We made the ressie at the 7 month window. It is possible!

While anything is possible, my guess is that January would have the greatest chance of being available without going on the wait list. You might also consider having a back-up (like a 2 bedroom and studio) and then staying on the wait list and seeing what happens.

I tried to get a GV for September 7-12 at OKW.I tried it last month and there was not any availibility and went on a waitlist and t came through the next day So it is possible.

The bad thing is the time you are chosing. The most difficult times of the year to get the GV at OKW are late Oct- early Nov and the fist two weeks of December.

Trading points with an OKW member would be the only way to be sure for either of those two periods.
