Hey All!

Just wondering if anyone has stayed at the Grand Legacy on Harbor Blvd? I've just booked a trip for myself, boyfriend and his 12 year old daughter to stay at the GL in May. My question is I see they have a rooftop bar that can offer some night time entertainment. Are there certain floors or areas that you would recommend to have a quieter or more comfortable experience?

I have stayed here. It is a very basic motel but it was perfectly fine for us. Clean and comfortable. Good sized room. Outdoor corridors so it's a tad noisy compared to hotels that are indoors. Quick and easy walk to the parks. The rooms in the main tower are renovated and nicer (so I hear) but those are also under the nightclub so I've heard that they can be loud if there is a band playing. You can check in early and drop off your car and head to the parks if your room isn't ready yet. The pool is pretty basic. Breakfast is a grab n go bag with an apple, string cheese, granola bar and bottle of water. You pick these up by the pool.

Not sure what rate you got but sign up for their emails because they frequently offer great deals. My stay was $95/night.

We stayed here last summer. We were in one of the older rooms on the 2nd floor just across from the pool. We never made it to the rooftop bar, nor did I ever hear any noise. That being said we pretty much close down the parks and crash hard. Hotel was fine for us also...no issues at all. We also enjoyed all three of the places just out front...JimBoys Tacos, Creaology(i think) ice cream and a pizza place. Nice quick, cheaper(than the park) option for a meal or 2.
have a great trip!

We stayed here many times (even a few before the name change); most recently back in August; and we'll be staying here again thanksgiving week. I think the rooms under the night club are fancy suites or something so you dont really have to worry about getting one if you're reservation is just for a regular room. I've never heard any night club noise from the regular rooms.

I have stayed there probably 4-5 times in the last two years and have never noticed any noise issues and I am a light sleeper. Very close to parks-$95 a night would be a steal. The rooftop bar is actually a decent spot to watch the fireworks without the crowds and they pump in the music.

We are staying there this December over Christmas, the price was right (my husband got a corporate discount of $140/night, we just booked it a few days ago) and it's got decent reviews so sounds like it should be fine. We like to stay at HoJo but we are only there for 3 nights (hitting the parks HARD Dec 24 and 25th lol) so we have no use for the waterpark at HOJO this time around.

Thanks for all your replies. We typically stay at the Tropicana when we go so we are alright with the motel style rooms and a basic parking lot pool. The Tropicana used to have continental breakfasts but we never used them so its not a big deal about the snack bags. We also don't mind if they aren't the newer rooms. We just need a reasonably comfortable room to stay for our trip. I am traveling with seniors and a child so the quieter the better. We got a flight and hotel package for 10 days at the GL for $635 USD pp. We are very excited about seeing the fireworks from the rooftop bar. I had no idea that they pumped music in too :D
