I work for a call center (not taking calls) so I'm familiar with what a nightmare phone systems can be. Especially when you need them most. I'm sure there are some frantic people at DVC right now.

Normally give you a # option to pick just for the cruise.

got a member admin CM just now, says people are getting through to book but "they are backed up". Sent me on to normal queu with same result..."temporarily closed".

I am on a headset so I can walk around. I also wrote down our Castaway Cay, passport, and DVC membership numbers to have anything needed handy.

Well I've called about 20 times and haven't gotten through and it seems unlikely they're THAT busy

Usually if they’re busy, that’s the message you receive. Not a message stating they’re temporarily closed.

Yeah, I think there's an issue with the system. There should be a MC option, I wonder if they can't get that fixed and that's the issue?

That's how it goes, but we always get an option for the MC and then it's just a busy signal if the lines are too busy. Nothing like that happening today so it's weird

Only did it a couple years back. Call right in at the start. Did all the regular enter member number, then given an option. Put into queue & picked up within 10 minutes. Weird. They know how to book these.
