Not sure whether to post here or the DDP board.

There will be 9 of us in March. I just found out we can use the DDP (if we decide to get it) for a Grand Gatherings buffet and preferred illuminations viewing at Epcot.

We are staying on our DVC points and will not be going to parks every day.

How do I sign up for this? Where is the buffet and what does it consist of? Where is the preferred viewing?

Go to www.disneyworld.com and type in Magical Gatherings in the search box. That will bring you to the info including descriptions of all that is offered for Grand gatherings. To book, call Disney dining and simply ask for Grand Gatherings. They will be happy to give you more info then is offered on the website and will also book for you! Have a magical adventure!

OUr family of 8 took advantage of this International Illuminations Dinner and Dessert Reception at Epcot. It took 2 table service credits, but it is normally $59.99 per person. It was located in the Odyssey restaurant at Epcot. The buffet contained food selections from different countries around Epcot. During dinner, the master of ceremonies was a wacky, funny woman who recognized people's birthdays and anniversaries. She told some jokes and told a story to the kids. It was fun. Then she brought out Minnie and Goofy and everyone danced with them. We also had an opportunity to have a group picture with the characters. After dinner, we walked down to the location of the dessert reception. Just wanted to let you know, because we were surprised, that the dessert reception had no seating. You just had to stand to eat and then to watch Illuminations. We really enjoyed having such a great place to watch the fireworks show, though. We were the first down to the dessert reception, so we were the first to claim our spot right next to the fence that looked out over the lake. Also, because we were on the future world side of Epcot, we were able to get out of the gates quickly.
