Grand Gathering -rooms together?

My extended family of 8 will be staying at the Poly. in April. We will have 3 rooms. Since we are a grand gathering, will they make sure our rooms are in the same longhouse, or at least in neighboring longhouses? I'm not too stressed about it, but my mil would be really unhappy if the rooms aren't together.

Disney tries to keep the GG parties close together. We just returned and our 3 room GG party room where located all together. I think unless you request not to be placed near each other then you should be in good shape. Just make sure each room is attached with the same GG# and you should be fine.

We had a grand gathering of 21 people in 8 rooms at ASMU. They put us in 8 adjoining rooms. The room assignment person called me about 4 days prior to our trip to make sure we still needed all 8 rooms and to let me know they would be all together. It was awesome!

Excellent. Here's hoping that being a priority means we will get our requested rooms in one of 3 newer longhouses.

They give a priority to keeping the group together. I don't how it works with requests.

I'm doing a Grand Gathering next year and I'm not concerned at all about the rooms being as close together as possible. I just realize that Disney will be everything in they can to accommodate us.

When we did it our room were all together ... side by side. Disney does whatever they can to keep those groups together ...in promoting the "grand gathering" concept they try to do the best they can to accomodate that part of the gathering.
