Grand Gathering Info

Has anyone attended any of the special events for large groups? I'm especially interested in the Safari Celebration trip & dinner. Was it worth it? We have 14 people from 2-60 years of age and I'm the grand planner! Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I cannot find much imformation on grand gathering groups.

I'm afraid I can't be of any help regarding the Safari, but 2 years ago our group of 18 did the breakfast at Tony's and the Magical Fireworks Voyage.
They were well worth the cost. Even the hesitant Disney fans among them became hard-core Disney fans after those experiences. They still talk about it to this day and, in fact, we're going back with many of the same folks (extended family - they've been converted!) this July and they've all insisted on doing the same Magical Gathering experiences again.

my family did the sunrise safari and it was great!!! we wanted the sunset safari but you had to be 14 yrs old to go. my dd is only 9 so that was out of the question.... but the sunrise safari was awsome!!! we woke at 6:00 am and gathered out in the concierge lounge and then headed off to the kilamanjaro safari ride while the park was closed.... we got to see where the animals are kept at night and then the safari jeep stopped at all the animals so we could stand up and get real good pics of the animals...... and the guides were very informative... i would do it again!! my kids loved it they are ages 15 and 9..... hope it helps vicki

when you call the number for grand gathering they give you a sheet with info also the download is fun too. make sure to make reservations way in advace for your party. if you do a search on www.disney.com for grand gathering there is infor there too
