Grand Gathering - How to make sure ADRs don't get canceled?

We're going next June with DH's family. We have different eating preferences so I'm planning on making a few ADRs just for my DH, DS and myself. How do I set up my online ADRs to make sure I don't risk getting flagged in the system for a double booking? We're staying onsite and I have my reservation number.

The system doesn't flag people for double bookings, a few CMs take it upon themselves to cancel them when you call in.

If you need to call in about your reservations, I'd try calling the Grand Gathering number to be routed to the right reservation area for Grand Gatherings (407) 934-7639. Say "Disney World Florida" and then "Grand Gathering" and "Dining" and "Reservations" That way the CM will know that you're part of a big group when you call in to adjust your reservations.

Thanks for the suggestion! Since I'm not in control of this trip, I find myself being much more cautious in doing anything that might affect the rest of the party. I've been reading the forums for a few years and believe that canceled reservations are probably fairly rare. Do you think it would be safe to make any online ADRs for three of us if the rest of the group is dining somewhere else at the same time? Should I be ok if I use my name and a different contact phone number?

Weird how different this trip is compared to when I'm in the driver's seat!
