Grand Gathering group+ DVC + DxDDP

Hi there! This is our first time using DVC points and booking a trip. I need help please!

We are hosting 13 people (three families) staying onsite at BLT next January.

We will all be on the deluxe dining plan (going all out - have used the deluxe dining plan before on previous trips) which we will add to our DVC reservation next month to be in place before our 180 day ADR window.

So with the DxDDP added to our DVC reservations (two rooms) what will be the best way to get our dining reservations made? Do we use the regular dining line? With 13 people we won't be able to sit together - thinking more like 6 + 4 + 3 tables are more likely?

Can someone just clarify what is the best way to get our reservations set?

If you can't make one reservation for your group online, you will have to call the dining line. Make sure you suggest the option of splitting the group up into more than one reservation if they can't find one for 13. I've heard reports about CMs only looking for say a party of 13 and not a 6 and 7. The other option is trying to get 2 tables in 2 different peoples names from your group online. I believe you can do this still even connecting it to a reservation number, just make sure they have difference phone and emails listed too.

When we travelled with our party of 15 back in 2009 we phoned in our reservations. They were able to accomodate us all at the same time, different tables.

We had a reservation party! Had the head ppl of each family at the dining room table with laptops looking at restaurants. For some, it was their first time @ Disney. When we called, we had it on speaker, and would speak with the CM about times, party sizes, etc. It worked out very well.
