Based on the occupancy of FtW I witnessed today, and the fact that gas prices will be higher by the time 7/4 weekend rolls around, I'd say that there will be more & more availabilty. You can cancel your ressie IIRC, 7 days prior to check-in without paying a penalty. Those of you still wanting to get in to FtW over FofJ weekend, be relentless calling the ressie # beginning 6/22. I think you might be successful.

Better than that.... let Rhonda help you out!! Not only is she a super moderator, but I've heard she's the most excellent T.A.!!!

Well, I've upgraded to a Preferred site for all three nights. So far haven't been able to get a full hookup after lots of calling and disney.com clicking. I'll keep trying though. I requested 800 and told them I would happily downgrade to 900.

clkelley, are you trying to get a full site instead of a preferred? If so, I wonder if they would let us trade. I have a full and my sister has a preferred, so they can't guarantee we will be together even though we are a Grand Gathering. There were no sites avaialble for me to go up or her to go down.

We get to go 6/27-7/11! 15 days at the Fort! DD passed Geometry so no summer school to change our plans! The pixie dust helped! Now to get ready. We leave on the 26th!

after reading this forum for several weeks i would like to know if can we join your group for the forth weekend? we have a pop up camper nothing fancy
but we have only been to fort wilderness with it. how do we go about making arraingments and do we need to join anything? it sounds like fun group and my wife and i are excited and would like to take part.the last time we went we were unable to secure a golf cart my daughters were dissapointed.please email iam not sure how to receive messages from this site my name is lou from s.fla.thanks alot and look foward to hearing from you.the site will not let me leave my email so you will have to tell me where to receive replies. thanks again

After talking it over with Gatordad, we have decided to try to get everyone together for the July 4th holiday. I have set up a Grand Gathering so that all of us that talk on the DIS boards here can stay in the same loop and drink, make and consume Kungaloosh and help each other get their carts ready for the parade. Here is how it works...

If you have a reservation, call 407-939-7526 and attach your ressie to this Grand Gatherings number 566092. The name of the party is Fort Wilderness Dis'ers. They will then put you in the bunch, as I have requested that all reservations that are attached be in the same loop. Right now, I have a full hook up. I don't need a preferred because we have Direct TV and we are more than willing to share.

If you don't have a ressie and would like to go, you can still call that number and make your ressies directly with them by using the information above. If there is a loop that we all decide on, anything is fine with me. I just can't wait and this will give everyone who is going a chance to meet everyone without hunting through all the loops. (which I have done until my cart battery goes dead )
