We are going as Grand Gathering Group and want to book Tony's breakfast for the trip. For those who have done it, is there only one seating time? I read some old posts and it looks like that may be the case. From 9:30-about 11. Does this sound right?
Also for those who have done it...this will be the first Disney trip for some of my family. What was your experience like for the breakfast? I thought it would be a great way to start our trip. (planning on booking it for our first day in the parks) but I don't want to take the time if it's mediocre. We are going Christmas week ( :earseek: I know, I know) and I want to balance quality time at character meals etc. with park time!

We did it in February 2004 and it was a lot of fun. Yes, it was one seating, it did start at 9:30 and I think it ended around 11, or maybe a little later when you take into account the waiting around to get your group picture taken with Mickey. If you are the last group you'll be waiting around another 15-20 minutes.

The food was good, they even had some "healthy choice" selections. The entertainment was fun too. We were a group of nine: four adults, four teens, and a 9YO.

Enjoy!

It is anything BUT mediocre!! This was the most enjoyable and memorable things that we did our entire vacation. We got to Magic Kingdom around 8:30 and went through a gate for the people who had early AR's. We were able to walk around Main Street for a little while and shop before heading back to Tony's. They called us in by family groups right around 9:30. As soon as we were seated, the server came right to the table. The food was sooooo good! The traditional breakfast was scrambled eggs, hash browns with cheese, sausage, bacon and italian toast (french toast to you and me). The healthy breakfast was granola with berries and yogurt. Tony came out and sang some songs and introduced the characters. Chip and Dale, Goofy and Pluto were there. Then they gathered the kids at the front and did the Hokey Pokey and the Chicken Dance. So much fun!! The charcaters circulated around the tables and we had lots of time to spend with them. Everything moved really quickly and there was no wasted time. After we saw Mickey, we headed out for the rest of our day. We were back on Main Street around 11:30 (we were the next to the last family to see Mickey). It was an experience that I (or my family) will never forget.
