Well BLT is slated for an increase to $165 around March 20...I would guess that new DVC members will be somewhere between $175-180/pt, with add-ons going for $165-175/pt.
Pure speculation obviously, but going by DVC history
It always amazes me when DVD raises the price. If intertile is correct, then DVD has just about doubled the price in 4 years. At some point, DVC is going to cease to offer any financial benefit at all, especially if the purchase is financed. I really don't understand their reasoning. They crippled the resale contracts in order to attract sales, however it widened the gap between resale price and direct price making resale contracts more attractive rather than less.

BLT has been $165 for a while. DVD has not announced a March 20 raise for it yet. It did say AKV and Aulani will go to $145 from $140 on March 20, and members have reported very recently being informed that the "classic" resorts are going to $130 but it is not clear what that means or if it is actually going to occur -- the older resorts currently have varying prices, BCV and BWV are $115, SSR $110, VWL $102, OKW $100, HH $80 and VB $75, so I seriously doubt DVD will be raising all of those to $130.
My guess for GFV is that when it will go on sale will be announced March 20, with a start date likely in April, and it will have a $175 price, with possibly a $170 price to existing members who may have a short time as the only ones who can buy, and DVD will also announce on March 20 that BLT will go to $175 when GFV sales begin, thus giving members some additonal time to add on at BLT at $165.
Yes....mistype, it is $165 not being raised yet. Though my guide said thst most of the use years are in wait list now...it is nearing sold out status. He told me points are coming available, usually a 1-2 month wait. Curious, either BLT contracts been ROFR or lots of people bought in 2009 and got caught as the economy tanked.
