Grand Floridian Villas One Bedroom -- without connected studio?

We have a one bedroom lake view booked at Grand Floridian Villas. Are they all designed to be part of two bedroom lock-offs? We would like to get one without a connecting door because of noise concerns.

Has anyone experienced noise with the lock-off doors? We are a very quiet couple and noise would be noticeable.

It really comes down to who your neighbors are more than anything else.

The only resorts with dedicated 1BRs - and they're not booking categories - are CCV, BWV and BCV.

The connecting door is near the entrance to the one bedroom unit. You probably won't hear anything. We've stayed in a GFV one bedroom twice and found them very quiet.

With this orientation, the connecting door is towards the back of the villa, just to the right of the entrance to the villa at the back of the photo. No problem with noise in the bedroom or living room unless your neighbors are really noisy and you hear it through the walls.

We heard nothing from our neighbors when we stayed in a VGF lake view studio.

FWIW, no matter where we've stayed, I've always found hallway noise and noise from the floor above to be a lot more bothersome than noise from the next door lock off unit. It varies of course. Maybe we've been extra lucky with the neighbors.

I also doubt it should be an issue. VGF has the connecting doors in the right place unlike some other resorts. It's by the entry way. For sleeping you're more likely to get neighbor noise from the other side than be affected by the studio.
