Grand Floridian views

Ours we actually didn't use a lot for sitting outside back in 05' cause we were getting bugs buzzing around at night for some reason. We had used it about twice and rest of our trip I think we watched from the glass inside. I'm trying to remember. Now with Musquitos not sure want to take chance with Littles hmm

I wouldn't want a dormer as the Littles couldn't watch easily. I didn't even think of that until now. Thanks for mentioning it cause I really should consider they may not be able to all see at once.

Hopefully, you'll get the view your hoping for.

I specifically request a non dormer room and it's the only time I'd ask to move rooms if we were given one. We had one initially back in 2014 and my then 3 year old wanted to stand on the patio furniture so she could see. Obviously I didn't let her due to safety reasons, but it was a battle. Fortunately we had to move rooms anyway due to a non working bath tub.

If you go up and read my first post on the thread, I wrote that my mother had a lagoon view in Boca Chica. She sat on her balcony every night and watched the fireworks while we "slummed" it in Conch Key!
I actually did see that sorry, short memory! I've been poking around on touring plans room finder. It looks like boca chica is the best bet for a theme park labeled as lagoon. Appreciate it much!!!

We've had lagoon view at both Big Pine Key and Conch Key. We prefer Conch Key because it's closer to the pier for the boat to MK. I'm not personally interested in Theme Park view. I'd rather look at the water, watch the boats, watch the monorail go by (DH has waaay too many pictures of them but was having fun experimenting with the camera taking "action" shots from the balcony). Even the views into the courtyard from one of the outer buildings could be nice but I thought they might be noisier and we like the water view better. Feels more resort-like to us.

I was wondering if anyone knew if you can take the monorail from the GF straight to the Magic Kingdom??

Well it does go straight to MK from the GF but you do have stops along the way. Did you mean without stops?

Stayed at the Poly in May and rented points for a DVC Studio with lake view. 3rd floor Moorea. We thought the bed was very comfortable but I know everyone is different. It was very quiet and peaceful. View was gorgeous! We were not at all bothered or obstructed by the bungalows. We watched the fireworks and water parade from our balcony several times. Both the Castle and Space Mountain glow at night. I attached 2 images of our view. The first is straight ahead at MK. I also took a panorama which makes MK look farther away than it appeared in person but it gives a better representation of the full view from the balcony. I picked Poly over GF bc I love Poly theming and love the easy walk to the TTC for the Epcot monorail. But I am sure either choice is a great one!

That's sounds/looks so nice. I'm all confused about how you rent dvc points. Lol
