Grand Floridian to MK

Hi,

We'll be eating dinner at the Grand Floridian the day we visit MK. Questions are:

Should we park at the GF in the morning and Monorail to the park?
Is public parking available at the GF?
How long will this take?


Other options are parking at MK, taking the Tram and then leaving that evening via tram and driving to GF.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Parking is available while you eat or shop at GF. There is not public all day parking unless you are staying there.

Parking for MK is at the Transportation & Ticket Center. Guests ride the tram from their car to the TTC, and then ride either the Express Monorail or the ferryboat to the park entrance.

The Resort Monorail lines stops at the TTC, the MK, and all of the Monorail Resorts including the GF. There's also a boat that circles among the Polynesian, GF, and MK.

So ... just park in the MK lot, and ride the Express Monorail or ferryboat to the MK along with everyone else.

At dinner time, ride the boat or the Resort Monorail from the MK entrance to the GF. Many people prefer the boat, because the GF happens to be the last stop on the Resort Monorail loop before the MK, so it would be about a 15 minute ride.

After dinner, ride the Resort Monorail from the GF to the TTC, where you'll ride the tram to your car (assuming you get there before the trams stop running.) If the MK is still open and you're returning there, just ride the Resort Monorail or boat back to the MK.

If you plan to finish dinner more than an hour after MK closes, you may have to walk from the TTC monorail station to your car in the MK parking lot. Walking distance to the farthest area of the parking lot is about 1/2 mile. If that's a problem, have the driver in your party leave the park 1/2 hour earlier than the rest of the party to move the car from the MK parking lot to the GF. That drive is a bit complicated; post a reply if you need directions.

I would say you should park your car at the Transportation & Ticket Center, then from there you can take the Resort Monorail to the Grand Floridian. Once your meal there is finished you can take the Resort Monorail to the Magic Kingdom and when your ready to leave you can take the Express Monorail to the Transportation & Ticket Center so you can get back to your car.
