Staying at the Grand in August. I got an offer to upgrade for $300 more for the length of our stay to a TPV room from a standard view. I’m thinking it’s probably worth it? Any disadvantage? Farther from pool or a specific building I should request?

Also, I knew there was construction going on. I’ve stayed at the grand before, but some people I will be with haven’t. Is the construction bad enough to warrant choosing a different resort??

The construction is in the lobby so I guess it depends on how much time you’ll be spending in the lobby? If it were me and I were just passing through, it wouldn’t sway me enough to change. If you were to change resorts, where would you move to? There seems to be a lot of construction going on at the moment, especially the MK resorts.

Critical factor is how many nights it is.

I don't really think it's worth it. We stayed in a theme park view room at GF and the view was really only if you went out on the balcony so that "view" entirely depends on the room you get. I'm sure there are some where you just look out your window and bam, but that wasn't the case where we were. We were close to the main pool and the lake which meant that we had boat horns going off at ungodly hours of the morning. I'd never do it again.
