Since the search is disabled this morning, I am hoping someone will be able to give me some additional information. Seems that the times of the tea differ a bit here and on Allears. Does anyone know the hours? I am fairly sure it begins at 2, but when is the last seating?

Also, are reservations made 180 days out like other dining reservations? Can they be made online or do you have to call? (Didn't see it online but may have missed it)

This is one thing I have never done and really want to do next trip. I am guessing it is no included in the deluxe dining plan, correct?

Thank you in advance! :goodvibes

We love the grand tea and plan on doing it Christmas next year. I believe that the times vary but one site says the last seating is 6. I don't know about the dining plan. I think the first seating is 2:30. I always call for ressies but you can probably get them online as well.

THe tea is great, we are doing it on our upcoming trip. It is not included in the Deluxe dining plan.

I made my reservation 180 days out by calling, i do not think you can do it on line

We do the tea every trip!!! Its great, but you have to call for a ADR for it.I dont mind its not on the ddp...it does not cost tooooo much for oop.We do the finger foods, tea, scones and strawberries and cream! YUUMMM my fav is the onion tart, it sounds gross but it is so good! I always ask for a extra.I take my dd4 and she gets ms.potts tea for kids and she has a blast every time.

We had a 5:50 pm seating on our last visit 2 weeks ago. I was actually disappointed. Stupid me, I was expecting it to be like High Tea that I did a few times in London but the food was not as good. And I guess when they run out of certain pastries, etc, they are done for the day. So the selection was not as good.

The place was empty, another thing I didn't like. There was one other pair of women seated right next to us and we were the only ones in there. The ones next to left when we were about 1/3 done and then it was just us and they were cleaning up the area, etc.

You can't book the tea online, and it is not included on the dining plan at all.

DW and I have reservations for the tea on Dec. 14th.. This will be something like our 5th tea and really enjoy it.

Whenever I have gone to the tea, first seating was at 2:00 and last seating was at 5:00 (This was in September). I had heard that sometimes it goes until 6:00. 5:50 would be a very late seating and I could imagine that they would run out of some of the pastries. I have enjoyed it every time that I have gone. Twice solo and twice with my daughter and two granddaughters. We have 3:00 reservations for this December.

We are going December 23 for four of us and have a 2 pm seating. Everything is fresh and delicious I'm sure earlier in the seating - we have always enjoyed it - my Dad loves the tea cozies that look so rich and my sis loves the Royal Albert china we get to use. We especially enjoy the scones, and the Mad Hatter and Eros teas are my favourite (Mad Hatter is fruity and Eros tastes like oranges). It's especially beautiful at Christmas, but still just as nice all year long. I booked by calling. We never book later in the day because it's more like having a break for a snack in the afternoon than being there near dinner time.

Thank you all so very much! I am going to try for the first seating rather than a later one. I appreciate all the info and good reviews!

Does anyone know the hours? (the hours info is per CM on ressie phone)
. . . this morning we made a ressie for an upcoming Sunday
. . . ressie time is 2:00pm-5:00pm
. . . at least for the Sunday we booked
. . . might be until 6:00pm for weekdays (I did not ask)
. . . service is 2:10pm-5:20pm
. . . but, you can easily stay until 6:00pm or later
. . . we have been there until 6:30pm one time with out-of-town guests

I am fairly sure it begins at 2, but when is the last seating?
. . . usually the first seated about 2:10pm
. . . this gives prep time, per the hostess, at least

Also, are reservations made 180 days out like other dining reservations?
. . . 180 days

Can they be made online or do you have to call?
. . . phone calls only

I am guessing it is not included in the deluxe dining plan, correct?
. . . afternoon tea is a real money maker
. . . not enough profit if DDP is used
. . . thus, not included on DDP

EDIT: We usually alternate between the Orlando Peabody Hotel and GF for Afternoon Tea for our own group of friends. The GF is very good, but only serves Orange Pekoe tea (OP or BOP). Even though the Peabody is a little more elegant, the surroundings of the Grand Floridian makes up for it, especially when we bring out-of-town guests. They get an Afternoon Tea plus Disney. It does present a little more WOW-factor than the Peabody, even though they have the afternoon Ducks.
