Grand Floridian Tea Dress Code??

How do most dress for this?

W were heading over after an afternoon in the park (shorts & t-shirts) Is that acceptable? Will we be under-dressed?

I am thinking probably more resort casual.......I think when I last did the tea I wore nice capris and a shirt, my husband wore khakis and a golf shirt. We did not have any children with us, but I have seen children there and relatively dressed up so to speak......I do not think that they will turn you away in shorts and tees either..

You wont have a problem dressed in shorts and Tee's because I have been there, done that and goin back "as they say"

Never been myself, but have walked by and looked in any # of times--saw a mix of dress--some theme park casual, some resort casual. There is no actual dress code however.

I dressed in a nice collared shirt, and shorts (no jeans, t-shirts, or ripped clothes). I guess you should be able to dress however but I feel it would be nice to be a little dressy… JMHO… But I do think they have a dress code (but not enforced).

Further note:
I’m a 6’1” big and beefy guy and I cannot believe I would love going to the afternoon tea. My dgf wanted to go last year and I went kicking and screaming. BUT YUM!!! I did not know you fill up on goodies! This past trip I could not wait to go! I get the English breakfast tea with the cheese platter and for desert I/we love the raspberry tarts. We celebrated my dgf birthday there this year and we loved them so much that they GAVE us a doggy bag full of the tarts… YUM, YUM, YUM! And my dgf got a happy b-day tiara (along with some of the tart booty).
