Is it too late to book a spa experience at the Grand Floridian for a trip in two weeks? Is this something people book 180 days out? I just thought of it as a nice birthday present to myself, but since it's so soon I'm feeling like I'm probably out of luck?

Probably not too late. My wife has booked same day treatments before. Would be worth the call to see.

Ok great! I just wanted someone's opinion on here first since the hold time calling Disney can be awhile.

You won't be on hold on the spa line. I usually get right through. Sometimes it books up - I know next week is all booked because of Mother's Day. But it's usually easy to get an appointment.

Agreed about the hold time. The one time I called spa number & had to wait it was only a few minutes. The other times there was no wait

I'm trying to figure out where it would fit best into my schedule. Would it be weird to go to the spa and then after go to a park?

I don't think so. They have beautiful lounge and shower facilities at the GF spa, so if you need to change or refresh, everything is right there for you. I went to the GF spa a few years ago while DS was on the GF kids' pirate cruise and we went straight to MK afterward!

I'm doing a spa day next Tuesday. We try to schedule one every trip. Totally worth the time and money.

Good for you. I've always wanted to but felt bad taking up family time. My husband thinks that's crazy since the kids just want to be in the pool all day anyway and he can totally handle that by himself.
If you don't mind me asking, did you book a package or a la carte? How long did it take?

Oh we don't feel bad! That's what vacation is for. My husband will usually get a massage on his own later in the week.

I always get the Me Time Magic package. It's 3 hours and you get a custom bath, massage, facial and pedicure. I'm usually there about 4 hours as long as they're able to schedule my treatments back to back. I usually arrive 30-45 minutes early to enjoy the relaxation room and eat the snacks lol.

Good point! That is what vacation is for! We are going for Father's Day though:rotfl:He won't mind!!! If I'm happy and relaxed, he's happy too!
I was thinking about doing the same package... sounds great.. might even add on a manicure and really go bananas !!!

Do you know if we pick massages that aren't a part of the "couples massage" can we get them done together or would we be separated?

You can book the couples package, to ensure they block the room for you. And then you can customize your massage when you arrive.

I booked a package that doesn't specify a type of massage, and will be requesting a pregnancy massage when I check in.

Ok that's great to know! I'm planning to call them during my lunch break I hope they have the day I want available. I only really have that small window that'll work otherwise will have to do the spa on a different trip. And congrats on your baby! :)

You should be ok. They're really only busy for special occasions :)
