I'm thinking of treating myself and booking a few treatments, maybe a hair cut, massage or pedicure. Has anyone experienced any of these services and what is your opinion(s):confused3 I'm staying at POR not the Grand if that matters, :)

My husband has! He had a head and neck massage and loved it (while the twins were on the pirate cruise and dd & I went to the MK) and for his birthday 2 years ago he got an 80 minutes massage as a surprise and LOVED it, said it was one of the best massages he's ever had. :thumbsup2

The spa does not offer hair service but the beauty salon in the main building does.

I prefer the Spa at SSR over Grand Floridian.

i prefer the spa at the GF to the one at SSR...

the GF has a nice small intimate spa...

i've had the manicure and pedicure there and thought it was very nice...
i had them together with my sister and daughter at the same time - they have several pedicure chairs next to each other so that you can do this...

My girlfriend had a 50 minute swedish massage and a pedicure there about a week and a half ago. She loved the massage. They took her into a small room with some candles lit and soft music. The massage was supposedly heaven ;) She wasn't overly thrilled with the pedicure. She felt she could have receieved and equally good/pleasant pedicure here (maybe even better) at a fraction of the cost.

Oh, and staying at a different resort shouldn't matter. We were staying at the CR.

My DH and I did a couples massage the day after our wedding and it was heavenly. We floated out of the spa.

I have been to both spas. I did not like the mani/pedi area at GF at all. The stations were crowded together and it was noisy; I listened to the conversations of the other guests getting treatments there so I didn't find that relaxing. I have not had a mani/pedi at SSR so I can't say what that was like. I've done massage and facial at both. I liked the therapists much better at SSR but it could have just been the individuals I got at each one. The treatment rooms/atmosphere were equal to me, one was not better than the other.

To me, going to a spa always feels like a treat and I wouldn't turn down the opportunity to go to either spa!

A girl friend and I had the tired leg massages at the GF Spa. I thought the massages were only so so -- and overpriced.
