What a wonderful resort to be staying at! There is a GF FAQ thread with lots of wonderful information.. about the resort..pictures too...There are a several different room categories..but I wold agree with WDWOswald that Boca Chica is a great outer building..for both its garden and lagoon views...for a theme park view I would recommend Conch Key though...so it all depends...No matter what..lovely grounds..recently refurbed rooms ..so you really cant go wrong! :cloud9:

Had a garden room in Conch Key last year because I said I wanted to be close to water transportation. We were given a room overlooking the marina and I had a side view of wishes every night! It was magical!

I have been to GF many times with and without kids. The good thing about GF is that there really aren't any bad views (parking lot). Personally, I would recommend staying club level. There are two different levels of club there. Club level costs more, but for us it is worth it because it includes breakfast (oatmeal, fresh fruit, pastries, ham and turkey cold cuts with assorted cheeses with good bread/toast, and an awesome espresso/latte machine), afternoon snacks, afternoon tea with scones and trifle, appetizers from 5-7pm with wine/beer, and desserts and cordials from 8-10 pm. You can ask for beer or wine any time of day, although it's not kept out all day. If you do not drink alcoholic beverages or you must have eggs and bacon for breakfast, then it would probably not be worth the price difference for you. If you are interested in staying club level (which btw allows you to call the IPO office and have them schedule more fast passes for you while you are in the park instead of waiting in a kiosk line), I would recommend an upper floor on the marina side if you choose the outer building club level. Main building club (Royal Palm club) is very expensive, but you don't have to fight for seats in the main lobby to listen to the band. My husband and I recently stayed in the main building for our anniversary, and it is amazing...but we love big band music!

You really can't pick a room with a bad view, unless you are overlooking the back side of the pool. My favorite has always been Conch Key Lagoon view. We always have a view of the castle.
