Grand Floridian photo sessions

Okay, so for $50 you get the session plus a Photopass card right? Then you should be able to add that Photopass card to your others when buying a CD after you return or ordering the one you prepaid for before your trip. Please correct me if I'm wrong about this!

The CM I talked to today said that prebuying the photopass cd would be no problem. I would love to hear from anyone who does this before my trip September 11th. I have an appointment but would love to know what to expect ahead of time as far as places they shoot, etc. I know they did mention the beach area...

NEW! You can now arrange for a private photo session with a Disney "PhotoPass photographer at the Grand Floridian Resort. The session includes around 40 photos taken around the picturesque resort and its beach. Pricing is either $49.95 for a PhotoPass card containing your photos which can then be added to your disneyphotopass.com account or $124.95 which will get you a PhotoCD with your images. If you choose to get the PhotoCD, you can save your receipt and CD and exchange it later on during your vacation for a new PhotoCD containing all of your PhotoPass images. The only catch is you won't be able to make enhancements to any of the photos. The only way to be able to make enhancements without purchasing another PhotoCD product is to buy the $49.95 package and then add it to your PhotoPass account online. Call 407-824-1700 to make arrangements or for additional information"

I just cut and paste this from the mentioned site and it reads to me like you end up having to get your cd with unaltered/unedited pictures while there at the park. However, when you prepay for your cd, you have a code to enter online during checkout (after you have edited your photos to boot!). So now I am CONFUSED. How would this work with my prebought cd after all? I DID ask the CM if I would have to pay the sitting fee and was told no.
Anyone else weigh in on this???

OK- I just called again b/c I was getting nice and confused about how the prepaying worked with the GF photo session. Here's the info I just got... you bring your confirmation letter that you pre-paid for the CD. They will give you a photopass card with all your pics from the photo session. When you get home, you enter that photopass card and any others from the park onto the photopass website. You can edit/add borders there and then order your final CD that you already paid for.

He confirmed again that there is no $50 sitting fee if you pre-order and you do not have to take a CD home from there, just the photopass card just like the parks.

HTH!!
Lorraine

Lorraine must be correct, as I just called and got the exact same info! What a great oppertunity to add this to your PP for free. :)

Has anyone verified how far in advance they were booking? I was told (and posted) that it was 30 days. I don't want to miss my oppertunity because of bad or changed information.

TIA

I would definately love to see pictures too as I would really like to do this - we will be there for our 1 yr anniversary and what agreat opportunity to get some good pics taken again!

Jaci, I didn't ask about how far in advance you could book. I just booked today for the 6th of september and they only had one other appointment booked at that point for the whole day, so I could have my choice. :)

Allisonswonderland, the number is in the link I posted earlier. It's (407) 824-1700. I'm leaving WDW on the 12th and arriving home on the 13th, so if I get the chance I'll be posting some of the pics on here before you leave. (probably will take a while? I got the buy-before-you-go-pp, so I'll be editing the pics and ordering the cd first before being able to post, I guess?)

Booked our session today. :)

I just called and booked ours today. I wanted some different photos for my son's 4 year pictures and this will be perfect. I got our appointment for Sunday...just wanted to let everyone know that you can book on the weekends as well.

We will be attending the MNSSHP on Sunday Oct. 28 and I was thinking that we should make reservations for this photo session just before going to the party. For those of you who have made reservations already, how late can you make an appointment? I was hoping for like 3pm or 4pm.

TIA

Chris, you can book from 8 to 8, so you should be fine with 3 or 4 pm. :)

Anybody got any pictures from this session to share yet? I'm dying to see some!

Can this be done if you are sharing a photopass cd. How would this work. We pre-ordered the Cd, but there will be 5 families on it. Can we still do this and get a photopass card and add it to our account?
