Grand Floridian Patio Info Please

My husband wants to be on the ground floor and I was wondering if it is a patio like at the Contemporary? We requested a pool view and he wants to be able to walk out the patio to the pool. Is this possible? Also, do the corner rooms have 2 patios? Also, how far is the parking really? When we drive in, do we park our car or what do we do? Thanks for any replies.

We stayed in a ground floor room this past December and our room had a railing and some shrubs just beyond that which gave some privacy. So, assuming all the buildings are like this, he would have to hop the railing (which I did once or twice when the kids were sleeping) to get to the pool.

As for the parking situation, I would recommend using the valet parking because the self parking is WAY out there, like beyond the security gate of the resort. So it would be quite a hike from the car. The GF is the one deluxe resort where they made self parking extremely inconvenient.

Because the patios are landscaped, you are not supposed to leave your room via the patio. Plus, you have to leave your room unlocked.
