Hello all,

So we have an upcoming trip in March for my Boyfriend and I. We are going to be staying at Coronado for a week, then going to universal to stay for a night with friends, then we will be returning to Disney for 2 nights. No intentions to go to the parks, maybe Disney Springs and eat at hotels, but more just relaxing and doing whatever.

We want to try new hotels. We made a list of ones we could choose from and each picked a top 3. Of those we looked at which we had in common. They happened to be Grand Floridian and Old Key West. So which would you choose?

Studio at Old Key West
Outer Building Garden View Standard Room at Grand Floridian.

I wasn’t too impressed looking at pictures with the Studio so I feel like there aren’t any benefits to us. We may hop into a park so GF just seems so convenient if we want to where Old Key West is better for Disney Springs.

IMHO, GF all the way. OKW is fine, but I personally love GF. I'm sure the prices are very different, so if you have a tighter budget I'd go with OKW.

Both are in our budget. I was hoping for AKL Savannah View or Poly but those are way pricier than we were hoping right now. I’m leaning toward GF, the resort just screams beautiful to me. We stayed at BCV in October so we were spoiled with a 1 bedroom which is why we are even considering OKW. With Covid we are just torn on what resorts would be best if we weren’t going to a theme park

OKW has Disney Springs proximity going for it. GF is better if you just want to hang out at the resort imo and you could check out the other monorail resorts. It all depends on what you want to do.

If you are looking for new experiences, you might think about getting a 1br villa at OKW (or SSR) They are a real bargain right now as they are only about 60-80/night more than a studio and still less than GF.

With an OKW 1br you get a master bedroom, nice bath, full kitchen, washer dryer, big living room, and big balcony.
