Grand Floridian or Mexico

Dh and I are going on a kidless vacation August 7-11. We have a lagoon view room booked at the Grand Floridian, airfare booked through Southwest, and our Annual Passes. This is the first kidless trip that we have taken to WDW since 1999. We go to Disney every year except this year we are going in August and in October (with the kids).

Our friends are going the 7-10 and staying at the GF as well (kidless trip for them also)

Anyway, we went to Playa del Carmen and spent 6 nights at Secrets Capri All Inclusive and had a fabulous time. I have wanted to go back ever since. August is my chance to go again. When all is said and done, the price will end up being about the same if we went to Playa again. We would be staying at a different AI though. Oh, and dh doesn't care which we do.

So here's my dilema .... go back to Mexico or go to Disney? HELP!!!! I need some advice, suggestions, a smack in the head, something. If I am going to change, I need to do it ASAP.

Mexico . You are going to WDW in Oct., so unless there are things you really want to do without your children, do something different in August.

If you really can't decide, try making a list of all the reason to go to WDW and the same for Mexico and compare the list and see what you want to do the most.

GF-- Disney without kids is a totally different experience. It can really be relaxing and also so much fun!

I've never known anyone who went to Mexico without coming back with some weird gastro-intestinal thing. It's definitely not somewhere *I'd* want to go, so maybe I'm just biased.

I'd vote GF, but only because I don't really enjoy beach/"relaxing" vacations. But for you, if you loved it and you're going to WDW in the fall, maybe Mexico is the way to go.

BTW, would your friends be disappointed if you didn't go to GF?
