We spent our 20th anniversary there last year and it was incredible. First of all, have you had contact with the concierge pre-planners at GF? I love the resort, but find that their IPO department is lacking at times. I have their e-mail address if you need it. For whatever reason, I found that they respond better to the e-mail.
You can make a room request with the concierge staff, but you need to decide what your priorities are. I'm guessing that would either be a king bed or a magic kingdom view and perhaps even a quiet floor, like the 5th floor. When DH and I went alone, we had the 5th floor and it was very nice. The rooms start at the standard level, which is 2 queens and a daybed or a king. The deluxe is a little more expensive, but it offers a slightly larger room. Then you move up into suites and honeymoon rooms. We've always been very comfortable in the standard rooms as we spent most of our relaxing time out in the concierge lounge. There is no extra charge for the view, it's just based on availability. You would have either an MK view, garden/courtyard pool view or lagoon which overlooks the Poly and Epcot in the distance.
I would definitely recommend that you drop an e-mail to concierge and get a conversation going if you haven't done so already. They like to know things like when you are arriving and if you have any special requests (like maybe some champagne or chocolate covered strawberries in your room)

Let them know that you will be celebrating your 10th anniversary. It certainly doesn't guarantee anything, but it could result in a little pixie dust for you.
Here's a pretty good site that offers diagrams of the room layouts
