I have spent way too much time on the boards these past two days trying to figure out the lagoon views here.

A MK or castle view doesn't matter to me and I wouldn't want to see the pool. I am just looking for a nice view of the Seven Seas Lagoon.

So far it seems like that would be Boca Chica or Big Pine Key?

Does anybody have any advise about this?

Thanks so much.

I stayed in BIG PINE KEY on one trip and I really enjoyed the lagoon view. I was on the 5th floor with an enclosed balcony. I looked straight across to the POLY and off to the left was the Wedding Pavillion. It was so peaceful early morning and evening. I enjoyed the view so much I have requested it again for my Feb stay. I also found it easy to get to the pool, but didn't have to listen to the afternoon pool noise.

Oh...do you mean like a dormer room balcony. It's not that the whole thing is enclosed, its that the wood is solid. Is that right?

Struggling here. I've heard of those on the top floors of the VWL.

If you click on this link, it will take you to page 45 of the GF FAQ. Scroll down to post 669, and you can see some photos of a dormer room with a pool view. As you can see in some of the photos, the dormer balconies are enclosed, rather than open wood work, like the lower floors.

I think there are lagoon view rooms in all the outer buildings except Sugar Loaf (which is all club level, so it's out anyway if you book lagoon view). Big Pine Key has some very pretty lagoon views, facing toward the Poly and the Wedding Chapel - here are a couple photos.

tinkerbell, I think you're right that you want Boca Chica or Big Pine Key since a good view of the lagoon rather than the MK is your priority. As someone said, you can see the pool from the wedding chapel side of BPK so if you really want to avoid that, perhaps request Boca Chica.

I stayed at the Boca Chica at the GF in August. My first stay at WDW and I loved the view. Enjoy your visit! The hotel and grounds are lovely.

My daughter and I stayed at the GF 9/2 through 9/8 for her birthday celebration We were magically upgraded from a garden view to a lagoon view. We were given the 4th floor at Boca Chica, Magic Kingdom view. There was a pine tree slightly in the line of our view, but we didn't mind. Boats actually passed our balcony every morning. We could see Cinderella's castle and could hear the music from the Magic Kindgom every morning. Our room was close to the two pools, Gasparilla's and the main building. It was just a short walk to everything and so convenient. The first night we had a ressie at Narcossee's, we looked at the map and couldn't believe it was right there, just a short walk from our building. We were also near the boat launch to the Magic Kingdom and we took the boat back to the room very often instead of the Monorail. It was actually very direct and quicker. Our room was so convenient to everything and such :rolleyes1:cheer2:a great view. We had the last room on the left and it was nice and quiet and didn't hear a thing. The beds and pillows were so comfortable, it was a dream come true.
